Technology Connecting People

I will be writing about how phones/social media connect people together. Phones are a big part of how people connect including myself. When I walk around CCH I see tons of kids on their phones even though they are sitting across the table from their friends or walking beside them in the hall way. Nowadays it’s easier for kids to talk between the screens of their phones than face to face. Social media has a big part of it because of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Snap Chat.

I like how the world is changing into these techy advice systems that make stuff easier, but I think that parents shouldn’t be getting phones at the age of 6. Phones take responsibility because you can really hurt someone by your actions you make. You can’t see the face expression of the person they might have hurt so they don’t feel bad. Phones are probably what connect people the most in the word today. I could make a phone call or text message to anywhere in Canada in just a couple of seconds.

With a phone you can do a lot of things.  A lot of people use their phones as a way to get away from real life. The person might have had something horrific happen to them and they just need plug in their headphones and listen to music or just go and maybe play a game on their phone. The way I connect with my family and friends is mostly on my phone.   I can either text a buddy and see if he wants to hang out or call my grandma and wish her a "Happy Birthday" or use Facebook to see what my cousins are doing.
